Big day for the Wolves at the District Speech Meet in Perkins County yesterday. Arthur County came home with 5 of the 10 first place medals. Proud of this group and all the hard work they’ve put in. Next stop: State Speech!

The Wolves junior high quiz bowl team traveled to North Platte on Tuesday for their final meet of the season. This is the ESU meet, similar to Districts for the high school level, however, there is no state competition for junior high to advance to. Attending the meet were Arthur County, Sutherland, McPherson County, Wallace, Stapleton, Maxwell, Thedford, Hyannis, South Platte, Hershey, Ogallala, Mullen and Perkins County. The Arthur County Wolves took home the Championship Trophy once again! Congratulations!
Quiz Bowl topics cover a wide range of academic subjects, with a core distribution heavily focused on the following: History, Literature/Grammar, Math, and Science. Other key topics include Fine Arts, Religion, Mythology, Philosophy, Social Sciences, Geography, and some Current Events. Shout out to Arthur County's amazing educators who have all had a part in creating these Academic All-Stars!

3/17/26 - National Ag Day! FFA Students wore their Farm Bureau National Ag Week t-shirts today and set out table tents with Ag facts around the local businesses!

The Wolves Varsity Quiz Bowl team traveled to North Platte to the ESU District Meet on Monday, the 16th. There were 14 teams competing in the double elimination tournament including: Perkins County, Stapleton, Mullen, Thedford, Hershey, Maxwell, Sutherland, Ogallala, McPherson County, Wallace, South Platte, Arthur County, Paxton, and St. Pats. In tournament play, Arthur beat Paxton 35-25, St. Pats 45-30, McPherson County 65-10, and Stapleton 45-40 to make it to the championship match. In the finals, Arthur faced Perkins County and had a loss of 30-55. Since this was Arthur County's only loss, they had to play Perkins County once more, where they Wolvesput the exclamation on the District Championship with a 60-10 victory. Congrats Wolves! The team will compete at the State Quiz Bowl Tournament on April 20th in Hastings.

Its National Ag Week! To celebrate Ag Week the freshman boys have created infographics! Isaak Ohm created this one exploring some fun facts about Agriculture in Nebraska.

Coach Bobby Harris from Sheridan College visited Arthur County High School today to sign Rylan Swanson, Reese Swanson, and Grady Gorwill to the Sheridan College Generals Rodeo Team.
