On Friday, 17 students traveled to Grant for District Music Competition. We had a fantastic day with mostly Superior ratings. In addition, five groups were specifically picked out by judges as having an outstanding or honorable mention performance. These awards are pretty special, and I am proud that we took home multiple. Our band earned a Superior rating from each of the three judges, and that earned us a special plaque.

The JH track meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th has been moved to Wednesday, April 29th. The bus will leave at 6:30 am.

Congratulations to the Arthur County music students! These 17 students had a very successful day at MNAC Music Competition. They competed in 23 events. In these events, they earned 18 "Superior" ratings (I) and 5 "Excellent" (II) ratings. In addition, the following honors were earned:

Top Alto Sax Solo: Aly Sizer
Top Trumpet Solo: Camden Mironeko
Top Tombone/Baritone Solo: Kaylee Wilson
Top Instrumental Duet: Landry Swanson and Amos Sizer (Bari Sax and Trombone)
Top Percussion: Arthur Quartet (Lucy Wenzel, Braden Wilson, Greyson Munson, and Kody Carpenter)
Top Small Instrumental Ensemble: an unbreakable TIE with perfect scores between Arthur Clarinet Trio (Ella Dam, Joley Bures, and Ella Munson) and Arthur Mixed Sax Trio (Eric Jageler, Aly Sizer, and Landry Swanson
Top Medium Instrumental Ensemble: 7-12 Band
