Arthur County Schools is proud to announce that our district has earned an EXCELLENT classification under Nebraska’s AQuESTT accountability system, including EXCELLENT ratings at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. This distinction represents the highest level of recognition awarded by the Nebraska Department of Education and reflects the collective efforts of our students, staff, families, and community.
AQuESTT, which stands for Accountability for a Quality Education System, Today and Tomorrow, evaluates schools and districts across six key tenets: Leadership; Educational Opportunities and Access; Transitions; Positive Partnerships, Relationships, and Student Success; Educator Effectiveness; and Student Achievement and Growth. Within the Performance area, which focuses on student achievement and college-and career-readiness indicators, Arthur County Schools performed well above state averages in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science across all grade levels, demonstrating strong instructional practices and high expectations for student learning.
Arthur County Elementary School earned an EXCELLENT classification for the second consecutive year, reflecting sustained academic success and a strong foundation in literacy and mathematics. At the secondary level, both the middle school and high school earned EXCELLENT ratings with our Juniors exceeding the statewide ACT averages, highlighting consistent student performance and achievement across grades 7–12 .
These results affirm that Arthur County Schools continues to provide a high-quality education that meets and exceeds state expectations. This achievement is the result of dedicated educators, hardworking students, a committed board of education, supportive families, and a community that values education.
