Continuous Learning at Arthur County Schools
Dear Arthur County Schools Family,
Arthur County Schools will remain closed until May 1st or further notice. Please continue to visit our website to stay up-to-date on the latest information.
We are experiencing a shift in how schools, communities, and our society function. And the fact is, we do not know what’s going to happen or how it’s going to happen. We are uncertain how this will unfold. What we do know is that we are all in this together, and we are better together. Education is not contained to four walls. It is a service that educators are deeply committed to. To this extent, teachers in Arthur County Schools are relocating the learning from the traditional classroom inside the building to distance learning classrooms online or through learning packets.
The move to an alternate learning environment will mean a shift in mindset and skills, as well as a shift in delivery of instruction. We will continue to provide the best education for your students. The entire staff and administration at Arthur County Schools have worked diligently to develop a Continuity of Learning Plan that best meets the needs of all our students and allow for credits to be awarded for the 2nd semester.
A copy of the plan is included in our recent mailing and is available by following this link. (ACS Continuous Learning Plan)
Please review the plan thoroughly and take special notice that the 4th nine weeks will no longer consist of “enrichment activities” only, but is instead shifting to a Pass/Fail grading system. A schedule is also outlined for Grades 4-12.
Continue to check our website for updates regarding our building closures and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. Together we are better, and we appreciate all you are doing to help us continue in education! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at the High School phone number - (308) 764-2253.
